For the 28th year, Fairmont Le Château Montebello offered the grieving families of Leucan an unforgettable stay of relaxation and sweetness. Thanks to the “Une histoire de cœur” program, 72 families were able to enjoy a two-night getaway offered by the establishment, located in the Outaouais region.
This stay brings immense comfort to families affected by the loss of a child. As Anne and Alain, parents of Sarah, who died at the age of 20, testify: “Everything was perfect. The most beautiful hotel we have ever been to. It allowed my partner and I to put a little balm on our immense pain.”
On behalf of the families, we extend our most sincere thanks to Mr. Steve Chang, General Manager, to Ms. Nathalie Beauchamp, Director of Sales and Marketing, as well as to the entire team of Fairmont Le Château Montebello for their warm welcome and their invaluable support.
Leucan’s palliative care and bereavement support service plays an essential role in providing listening and support to families going through the palliative phase. Leucan’s counsellors provide personalized follow-up and help evaluate the needs of grieving families.
In addition to emotional support, Leucan offers several services, such as massage therapy, financial assistance and socio-affective activities, such as this stay at the Fairmont, to help break the isolation.
